Crate Expectations

How do you ship a premium 3D Printer? When it came time to figure out how to ship our Budmen 3D Printers, we searched and searched for a packaging solution that could meet the same level of craftsmanship and quality as the product inside.

There was only one solution that can offer a level of protection, performance, and quality that we are after — handmade wooden crates, Indiana Jones style of course!

Here in our shop, we cut, glue, and drill each piece of wood precisely to perfection. We choose to meticulously stencil each crate by hand so no two are exactly alike.

The final stencil on the crate is one just inside the lid that says “Keep Crate.” Why? Because these crates are built to furniture quality, will only get better with age, and will be used and reused for years to come.

It is only after these finishing touches that the Budmen Buildini 3D Printer fits safely inside and we ship them off to their new homes!

In order to make sure you know exactly where to open the crate, we hand paint a stencil that says, "Open Here."

The red triangle on the front left corner helps you quickly and easily line up and reattach the top.

These crates are built to the highest quality, will only get better with age, and will be used and reused for years to come.
